IMPORTANT: Once you

Learn to Surf Los Angeles is a permitted,
licensed and insured surf school offering fun, safe, professional
surf classes in beautiful Santa Monica Bay, LA, Manhattan,
Malibu, and Zuma Beach locations. Our year round
surf school provides all the equipment: wetsuits
for your comfort, and foam surf boards to avoid injury -
all you need to do is show up! Our boards
are top quality, stable and safe (foam longboards won't
hurt if they hit you!), and our technique is pretty much
fool-proof. With basic physical ability, not only will you
be up and riding in your first class, you'll also be able
to go out and catch waves on your own!! Throughout your
surfing classes, your instructor will be with you at all
times to guide you through the process of learning to catch
and ride your own waves. The success rate for students of
our surf school is so high, we guarantee you'll get up on
your first surf lesson!

PRIVATE SURF LESSONS
Get personalized instruction
with our private lessons. There is no more effective way
to learn surfing than to have the undivided attention of
a professional instructor to guide you through the pitfalls
and get you up and riding your own waves. You'll get up
on your first lesson, guaranteed. Private surf school lessons
are scheduled any day of the week, and all equipment is
provided. Surf lessons are 1 hour 45 minutes long. Gift

PROGRESSIVE GROUP SURF CLASS
Our Progressive Group Classes provide ongoing instruction
for both beginners and more advanced students. Lessons are
broken into more and less experienced surfers so that the
instruction can be tailored to the students skill level.
We teach beginning surfing every week, while taking more
advanced students' skills to the next level. Classes are
small—with a maximum ratio of four students per instructor.
Progressive Surf Classes take place Sundays from
10am to11:45am at our Santa Monica surf school location
only. Call or email for availability. All are welcome
- come join the fun! All equipment is provided. If you
have your own corporate or private group and would like
to set up a private event, click here.
Cost: $75. Packages of 4 or more classes are $70 per.
PRIVATE SURF LESSON PACKAGE
Get a thorough and personalized introduction to surfing
with your own instructor in our private Surf Lesson Package.
In three one-on-one sessions you get an accelerated introduction
to surfing in which you'll learn all the skills to handle
yourself competently in the water and get started on your
way to surfing well. We book the lessons to fit your schedule.
All equipment is provided. Lessons are provided in all locations.
Cost: $330 for a one person package and $550 for
a two person package.
To book
a surf lesson, register online by filling out our
Registration
Form. Los Angeles surf classes are offered
year round, depending on tide and swell conditions. All
bookings require a non refundable $50
deposit. Once you've booked a lesson, please download
and fill out our Waiver
Form to bring to the first lesson.
Cancellation
Policy: No shows, or cancelations that take place
less than 72 hours before the scheduled time, will not be
refunded. Lessons are considered no-shows 20 minutes after
the scheduled lesson time.
Rain Policy:
All lessons scheduled within a 72 hour period of significant
rain (determined by LA County Water Monitoring Program)
will be rescheduled or refunded due to increased levels
of water contamination from runoff. Contact us to check
