Your surf lesson
will take place near the lifeguard tower marked "NAVY"
at the boundary of Santa Monica and Venice Beach. There
is pay parking (cost from $5 to $15) directly in front of
our location. To get there, drive west on Rose Avenue to
the parking lot at the end of the street. Park at the far
right end of the parking lot. Once there, walk directly
out onto the beach towards the ocean - You will meet your
instructor on the beach with the equipment, at the shore
line about 30 meters to the right of the lifeguard tower
marked "NAVY" and directly in front of the volleyball
courts. Though it's not always set up, depending on the
day and time, look for a white pop-up canopy with an orange
sign that reads LEARN TO SURF, or for someone who looks
like they're waiting for someone else with a bunch of boards
and wetsuits.
