PRINT THESE DIRECTIONS - or you
may get lost...
Our Manhattan/Dockweiler surf lessons
take place at life guard tower 49 in Dockweiler State Beach.
To get there, go west on the 105 highway (also the Imperial
Highway) all the way to its end (at the beach) and continue
straight into the pay parking lot ($5 to $7). Turn right
after entering the parking lot and stay to the right, following
the road past the parking lot entrances on your left until
you get to the "Authorized Vehicles Only"
sign. Turn left into the parking lot, and park
in the left half of the parking lot, left of the lifeguard
tower. Once parked, head straight out onto the beach to
the left of lifeguard tower 49, just south of the rock jetty.
Your instructor will be there with the equipment.
If you're coming from the 405, take
the 105 Freeway West, which will become
Imperial.

For a dynamic map or directions from
your location to the parking lot at Dockweiler (Note:
this is only for directions to the parking lot. You will
still need to read and follow the directions at the top
of this page to get to our location), go to Mapquest
and get a map for:
12000 Vista del Mar
Playa del Rey, CA

All you need to bring to your lesson
is a towel, swimsuit, sunscreen and water--make sure to
be hydrated and ready for a great time!
Accepted forms of payment at the lesson
are cash or check only. We cannot take credit cards on the
beach - we have no way to run them there.
Also, please download and print out
a copy of our Waiver
Form to fill out and bring to the first lesson.
