Learn to Surf Los Angeles is a permitted,
licensed and insured surf school offering fun, safe, professional
surf classes in beautiful Santa Monica Bay, LA, Manhattan,
Malibu, and Zuma Beach locations. Our year round
surf school provides all the equipment: wetsuits
for your comfort, and foam surf boards to avoid injury -
all you need to do is show up! Our boards
are top quality, stable and safe (foam longboards won't
hurt if they hit you!), and our technique is pretty much
fool-proof. With basic physical ability, not only will you
be up and riding in your first class, you'll also be able
to go out and catch waves on your own!! Throughout your
surfing classes, your instructor will be with you at all
times to guide you through the process of learning to catch
and ride your own waves. The success rate for students of
our surf school is so high, you're pretty much guaranteed
to get up on your first surf lesson!

PRIVATE
SURF LESSONS and PACKAGES
Get personalized instruction
with our private lessons. There is no more effective way
to learn to surf than by having the undivided attention
of a professional instructor to guide you through the pitfalls
and get you up and riding your own waves. You'll get up
on your first lesson, guaranteed. Or, for a more thorough
introduction to surfing, our Private Surf Lesson
Packages might be more suited to your needs. In
three to seven private sessions you get an accelerated introduction
to surfing in which you'll learn all the skills to handle
yourself competently in the water and get started on your
way to surfing well. We
book the surf lessons to fit your schedule, and all equipment
is provided. Lessons are provided in all locations. Surf
lessons are 1 hour and 45 minutes long and include all the
equipment. Student to Instructor ratio is up to 5:1.

PROGRESSIVE GROUP SURF CLASSES (ages 13 and up)
Summer Schedule: From Memorial Day to Labor Day,
Adult Progressive Group Lessons available at 8am
on weekends at our
Dockweiler location, and
at 2:15pm daily at our
Santa Monica location.
Winter Schedule: From Labor Day to Memorial
Day, Adult Progressive Group Lessons only available at 10am
on Saturdays at our
Santa Monica location.
Our Progressive Group Classes provide ongoing instruction
for both beginners and more advanced students. Lessons are
broken into more and less experienced surfers so that the
instruction can be tailored to the student's skill level.
We teach beginning surfing every week, while taking more
advanced students' skills to the next level. Classes are
small - with a maximum ratio of up to 5:1. Surf
lessons are 1 hour and 45 minutes long and include all the
equipment. Call or email for availability. All are
welcome - come join the fun! If you have your own corporate
or private group and would like to set up a private event,

Cost: $75 per class. Packages of 4 or more classes
are $70 per.

To book
a surf lesson, register online by filling out our
Registration
Form. Los Angeles surf classes are offered
year round, depending on tide and swell conditions. All
bookings require a non refundable $50
deposit. Once you've booked a lesson, please download
and fill out our Waiver
Form to bring to the first lesson.
Cancellation/Reschedule
Policy: All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges
will be provided. Lessons are considered no-shows 20 minutes
after the scheduled lesson time (call if you are running
late and we will do what we can to accommodate you). Lessons
that are rescheduled less than 48 hours before the scheduled
time will be charged a $30 reschedule fee.
Rain Policy:
All lessons scheduled within a 72 hour period of significant
rain (determined by LA County Water Monitoring Program)
will be rescheduled or refunded due to increased levels
of water contamination from runoff. Contact us to check
the status of your lesson. Click here
