Winter Schedule: From Labor Day to June 30th
Private Lessons available during daylight savings time daily between 8am and 6pm (outside of daylight savings time lessons are available between 8am and 4pm)
Progressive Group Lessons only available at 10am on Saturdays at one of our Santa Monica locations.
Supervised Surf Sessions only available at 8am on Saturdays at one of our Santa Monica locations.

PRIVATE SURF LESSONS and PACKAGES
Get a thorough and personalized introduction to surfing with your own instructor in our Private lessons. There is no more effective way to learn to surf than by having the undivided attention of a professional instructor to guide you through the pitfalls and get you up and riding your own waves. You're pretty much guaranteed to get up on your first lesson. Or, for a more thorough introduction to surfing, our Private Surf Lesson Packages might be more suited to your needs. In successive lessons, our students learn how to turn, how to read and select waves, techniques to paddle out through the break, how to best maneuver the board, timing, ettiquite, tides and other factors affecting wave quality, and more. In general, most people get a solid basic intro in a 3 lesson pakage, and are able to consistently catch waves and stand on their own. In a 5 lesson package, most are able to turn fairly consistently after catching a wave. After a 7 lesson package, many are able to identify a rideable open-face wave, and have moderate success at maneuvering themselves into position to catch it. We book the surf lessons to fit your schedule, and all equipment is provided. Lessons are provided in all locations. Surf lessons are 1 hour and 45 minutes long and include all the equipment.

PROGRESSIVE GROUP SURF CLASSES (ages 13 and up - open enrollment)
Our Progressive Group Classes provide ongoing instruction for both beginners and more advanced students. Provided there are enough registrants, lessons are broken into more and less experienced surfers so that the instruction can be tailored to the student's skill level. We teach beginning surfing every week, while taking more advanced students' skills to the next level. Classes are small - with a maximum ratio of up to 5:1. Surf lessons are 1 hour and 45 minutes long and include all the equipment. Call or email for availability. All are welcome - come join the fun! Cost: $75 per class. Packages of 4 or more classes are $70 per.

STAND UP PADDLE BOARD LESSONS (SUP)
If you'd like to take a mellow cruise down the coast on a stand up paddle board, maybe trail a pod of dolphins for a while and catch a few waves along the way, then try a Stand Up Paddle Board Lesson with us! Stand Up Paddle Surfing (SUP) has its origins in Hawaii, is more equipment intensive but more mellow than conventional surfing. It is also a great core workout. Our stand up paddle boards are very stable and great to learn on. All the equipment is included in the lesson - stand up paddle surfboard, wetsuit and stand up paddle. In your first stand up paddle lesson, you can expect to get an orientation on shore covering SUP basics: how to get up, where to position yourself on the board, proper paddle technique, turning, and how to paddle past the break. In subsequent lessons, depending on your skill level, we cover more advanced maneuvers including actually catching waves on a stand up paddle board!

SUPERVISED SURF SESSIONS (ages 13 and up - open enrollment)
Join us for our open enrollment weekly Supervised Surf Sessions - we provide all the equipment, all you need to do is show up! There is one instructor available to provide guidance and feedback for every ten students. This is not a formal lesson. This is a great way to come out under safe conditions and under the eyes of an experienced instructor to work on what you've learned without having to pay for a full lesson.
Cost: $40 for the first person, $35 for the second person, and $30 per additional person.

To book a surf lesson, register online by filling out our Registration Form. Los Angeles surf classes are offered year round, depending on tide and swell conditions. All bookings require a non refundable $50 deposit. Once you've booked a lesson, please download and fill out our Waiver Form to bring to the first lesson.
